Who am I to complain?
I was busy preparing my detox water, when I got glued on one show.
The article is about the story of Mr Dante Tiosan. A man who rose from his disability.
He narrated how full his life was when he was young and when all he wanted was to be a CPA.
His life turned upside down when he lost his eyesight due to a high fever that damaged his optic nerves.
He questioned God for what happened to him.
Why me? Why me? he kept on asking.
He narrated that majority of his friends left him when this tragedy strikes him.
He got discriminated due to his disability
He wasn't able to accept it for 5 years, and then he had realized that he needs to move on.
It wasn't easy, but is very much determined.
Faith helped him moved on.
He studied Braille along with the people with the same conditions and became a massage therapist.
They went for caroling and set up a massage service on what they have earned.
It was a struck of luck when he met a former staff of President Fidel Ramos who helped him get a financial support, and they were able to open a shop.
Right now, VIBES massage (Visually Impaired Brotherhood for Excellent Service) has 52 branches nationwide. He was able to help the blind and visually impaired person as 90 percent of his employee
So why am I complaining when my cross is not too heavy?
Why do I have a gumption to complain when all of my senses are working?
His story is an eye opening experience for all of us.
His story made me feel grateful for all the things I have in my life right now.
