A spur of the moment getaway.

It was a spur of the moment decision. it was around 11am, when Wilma sent me a bbm message, "Inna, were goin to Wild Wadi, with ate Sheila's family, wanna come?. without second thought, without hesitation, I quickly said "what time?., and then I hop on over.
We went to Wild Wadi, it's a themed amusement park in UAE, situated in Jumeirah, next to the Burj Al Arab, the 7 star luxurious hotel. The waterpark is composes of 24-state of the art, adrenaline pumping state of the art rides and slides. An interesting fact: Wild Wadi Park has no featured clocks, as they do not want guests thinking about time.

We don't have itinerary at all. It's more like a whirlwind trip. After Wild Wadi, we headed to the famous Souk Madinat. We felt the vibrancy of Arabian Market as we wandered along the meandering avenues; past towers, lantern-lit hallways and narrow waterways. The day will never be complete without the Abra Tour. The traditional boat will take you along the souk and the buildings in Madinat Jumeirah. The price of Abra Tour is 75AED per person, and the happiest part is that we got it for free, thanks to kuya Don and kuya Dan!. Kuya Don became our tourist guide and our photographer. We couldn't help but be awed by the interior of the sand color buildings. We have learned from kuya Don that the cost of the room is so expensive. He also shared that when Tom Cruise came to Dubai for the filming of Mission Impossible, he stayed on the expensive Madinat Hotel.

are we lost?

At day's end, we proceeded to one of my fave restaurant "The Noodle House", and had a sumptuous dinner-(Iftar). Our feast consisted of pecking duck, fried noodles, siomai, tofu and laksa. The great part is that we have 50% off on the bill. Isn't that awesome?.

This is just an unplanned trip, but we never thought that it will be a good one. My companions and I truly enjoyed the epicurean experience observing the look of profound satisfaction on our faces and the smile criss-crossing on our faces.
It's a sublime experience,
It's a luxe for less.
